Here's a picture of the latest calf

Then Red Ember was curious of the picture taking and decided she needed to have her time in the blog........ what a flattering picture!
We also got three new kittens on Thursday night!
and I can't forget to share some pictures of Cooper!

and a picture of my wonderful Warren!

Another Calf!

To see the real picture of the size of the Dexter breed I need to show you this picture of the little one born last week next to his mom and Warren.
Number 2 calf here this afternoon! This one is a lot taller than our little one this last week. It is a cold windy day to be born. Poor little thing. He is hunkered down in a hole to keep warm. Warren always says "They are just fine".

Sunday, January 23rd

Life keeps me too busy or probably I do not have the energy and strength that I wish I had. It seems like the day is done before my list is crossed off. I find myself praying for endurance and strength. Although...knowing my limitations and my capabilities...I try each day to push my self a little harder and step out of my box a little more. I was given the assignment of teaching part of the lesson in a combined RS/Priesthood meeting today. I was asked to speak on the need for parents and teachers to connect with the youth. To make sure that they know of our love for them and for our Heavenly Father. It made me remember different times with my own children. Moments where time moved so very slowly but in retrospect I find that they were some of my most wonderful times with Aimee and Tyler. I though of my dear sweet daughter, Kelli, and the service that our family was able to give her. How I miss her. She has nearly been gone more time that she was with us. But I will never forget the small things that she did, the noises of excitement that she made, and the love that brought us together in the family.

I DID IT!!!!!

I remember when I was thinking about going back to school---and that I would be 50 something before I would graduate. It seemed so far off ---like it would never happen. I finally did it!! Not that there weren't tears, late nights, and a whole lot of papers and discussion boards (UCK!). I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing!!!! I am proud that I stuck with it! I hope that I am a bit smarter and a bit wiser.
In thinking that my life would be free to read, watch movies, and eat Bon Bons, I was quite shocked and surprised when the Bishop called me in to his office. It must not be my time to read, watch movies and eat Bon Bons. It is time that I become much more humble and a better servant of our Heavenly Father. So----life is busy still but in a good way. I was called as Relief Society President of our Hibbard 4th Ward. I didn't even think that the Bishop knew who I was. Well, I knew he knew who I was but not beyond that. With that thought, and other reasons, I am sure the calling came from my Heavenly Father. I haven't ever been a Relief Society President but I am trying to learn. I have two great counselors and a fabulous secretary! That's how I will be able to do this calling.
Warren and I are keeping busy with the house and the animals. We bought a new dog a couple of months ago. It is an Australian Shepherd. He name is Cooper and is a great dog. Best we have had. We have added a few more cows to the herd also. I am thinking that a few projects will be accomplished with a little extra time now that school is finished.

A New Year

Christmas has come and gone. A brand new year faces me--and of course, a new class for school. Research. I'm glad that I can see an end in sight. I'm getting tired of always worrying about assignments, projects and tests. Two more semesters (counting this one) left. Just hang in there. New Year Resolutions....I'm not very good at them. I have found that life happens and sometimes even the most sincere resolutions are broken. So for the most part, I don't make them. But these are the few things I hope to acomplish in the year 2010: 1- Finish school 2- Try to lose some of the fluff I've gained 3- Become more active I am thankful for where I am in life. I love my family, job, and my life. I am thankful for the friends that I have. This will be a good year!

Norah's Blessing

On November 1, 2009, Norah Mei Marble was blessed by her daddy in church. I was especially honored because she wore my blessing dress that I wore 52 years ago, Aimee wore 30 years ago, and Kelli wore 29 years ago to be blessed in. What a sweet little angel she is! Welcomed to a family that loves her very much.

Norah Mei Marble

Our fourth grandchild; Norah Mei Marble was born on September 22, 2009! I was bless to be able to spend a week helping Aimee and Jake with their family! She is already a month old---I'm amazed how time flies so much faster the older I get. Helen loves her little sister --- what a blessing to have two healthly girls! Norah is the spitting image of Helen when she was a baby. It will be interesting see how she changes in the months to follow!
